and Welcome To BYC! Do you have Chick Starter Crumbles? They should be kind of like bread crumbs, maybe a little bigger. Chicks will play with food and drop it all over the place. You might try smashing it into smaller pieces if you think they aren't eating enough, but it is probably normal. You can also put the feeder on a plate etc, so they get another chance to eat the food before it hits the bedding.
