Inherited 15 2 yr old flock of 13 hens (now 12 had to give a broody to a friend who was ready for her little flock of 12!) and two Easter Egger roosters. Its a nice mix of Buff Orpingtons, Silver-Gray Dorkings, Speckled Sussex, and 1 Easter Egger. Always wanted chickens, they were a staple in my moms young life during the depression.
Im scrambling to learn and care for them best we can and glad to have this forum to consult.
We are in the hot and humid South central TX area not too far from big cities but no longer a fan and not missing that life at ALL!
