I have a small flock of 5 and had a momma go broody so got eggs from a friend and let her hatch them. I live in the city so sadly cannot keep all 4 that hatched but daughter wants to keep one. Is this even possible or will it just be a sad solo baby. Right now mom and babies are in a small pen beside main coop and run so the girls can see each other. Momma wanted out today with babies so I let her out. It went well and she was great with them but my one hen was being mean and pecking at the chicks.
Should bully be the one put in pen during day and mom and chicks allowed out with others?
I had planned to put mom and chicks in main coop tonight to see if it would help when other babies go to new home so I could keep the one and raise it but now second guessing that thought?
Any insight would be great. Had chickens for a year but first experience with chicks
