Hi everyone,
Thought I'd share a little about myself and my family, as I'm sure I'll be posting lots of future chicken related questions.
We're an active duty military family of four; myself, my husband, my son (6), and daughter (4). We're originally from Iowa (Go Hawks!), but in the past 15 years, we've lived in Germany, Georgia, Oklahoma, Alaska, and now North Dakota.
I've been a stay-at-home mom for the past 6 years, but worked as a veterinary technician prior.
We bought our first house last year and live on the edge of a very small town. We are very happy to be "settling down" and diving into new ventures that have otherwise not been possible. In our quest toward backyard homesteading, we started our first garden this spring, and aquired our first chicks, which brings me here. I'm happy to be a member and eager to learn all things chicken!
