I’m new to BYC as well as social media! We worked hard all summer building what I consider the Taj Mahal of coops And our residents have arrived, though they are too small to be left out there overnight so bedtime is in my bathroom. We have four Light Brahma pullets and six Americana. We had been batting the idea of our own flock for around for a couple years so we could have fresh eggs, and with the pandemic cementing our desire to be more self sufficient made the leap. I started a couple years back producing and preserving our own fruit and vegetables and the transition to fresh eggs was natural. We are finding that we really enjoy the lifestyle. I’m hoping to gain some insightful knowledge from all of you out there!
