Hi, my name is Kate and I am from SC...I am a mother to an almost 23 yr old daughter, a 14 yr old son, an almost 11 yr old son, an almost 4 year old son, a 3 yr old granddaughter, and an almost 1 yr old grandson :) We have 2 dogs, a cat, a ball python, a cobalt blue tarantula and now 4 little chicks....whew! I love all animals <3

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes I am new and I got my first chicks last Thursday.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4

(3) What breeds do you have? 2 Cinnamon Queens and 2 Cuckoo Marans

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? counted cross-stitch, crocheting, and started taking up painting. I love anything crafty!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Most of this is answered up above the questions....but will add that I am a SAHM and homeschool 2 of my boys, will start working on pre-school work with my youngest this summer :)

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock and/or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
