Newbie Chicken owners need help.....

I have a really nice easter egger( in my profile pic) who I can pick up whenever, and she even hopped on my lap the other day! They lay beautiful blue to green eggs.
 
I have found that my buff orpingtons are pretty docile. However, none of my chickens like to be picked up.
