Glad you joined the flock! Your hens may just need a bit more time to get used to the run. I've had the same situation with a group of hens I bought a few years ago. They spent about a week in the coop before venturing outside.

We're glad to have you.

Some of my birds have had problems learning to go out of their coop. It takes them a couple of weeks to learn how to use my ramps to get in. Some of mine are just not great fliers and don't like leaving home. Try luring them out with treats. The more they walk out of the coop into the run, the easier it will be for them and they'll get used to it.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Yes, give them time to adjust to the new digs. Chickens are nervous creatures and know they are prayed upon by all kinds of critters. They will get more comfortable as time goes by.

Enjoy your lovely flock and welcome to ours!
