Newbie egg laying question.

Newbie Questions again, Sorry.
I was reading that the chicks-or pullets I am learning here, start laying around 18 weeks? is that right? I am trying to figure when to order chicks after the coop is all fixed up.Thanks

I think depending on the breed, between 16 and 22 weeks broadly speaking; 18 to 20 in most breeds.
