Newbie, former lurker, and 6 months into 3 Buff Orps and 3 BrdRocks

Hi everyone--

Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to all of you who have been posting to the threads over the last months and years. This forum is one place where I did my research while planning my chicken house and how to become a backyarder. It's been really great--the learning and the doing! We have 3 Buff Orps and 3 Barred Rocks, which are Mt Healthy hatched and shipped. I think they were hatche around May 13. The odd thing is, we got eggs long before I had read we would--I almost stepped on a pullet egg Labor Day weekend! Maybe that's not so unusual....

Anyway, thanks again & I look forward to the time when I can repay from my growing experiences....
