Hello all, I am very, very new to having a backyard flock. So much so that I don’t even have my chicks yet. I’m in the process of getting my coop ready and want to start deciding the best chicks for me.

I am a work from home momma that loves to garden and spend time with my critters. My kids are grown and one has flown so it’s time to focus on my hobbies.

Looking forwards to “meeting” everyone.

I just got a box with 4 3 day old chicks for mothers day. They are Barnvelders and I had no idea what to do with them. Hence I joined this group. Soon to be an empty nester. I live in NC and have relatives near Mobile! Good luck and start reading the articles - they help a lot! So do asking wuestions from other members
