when we use to go to ellijay we would say after you got out of calhoun there is nothing up there.....now it does seem to have grown more......I love that gated coosawattee resort there....I would love to have a cabin there....
 
The coosawattee resort is just over the mountain from me.My b/f builds houses in there.IMO it isnt what it cracked up to be.They had a water issue awhile back.The ppl were paying their water bills but the main bill to the water supplier wasnt getting paid,so the ppl in the coosawattee resort did without water for awile.The have issues up there alot.I like right where I am (off 282) & hope to start buliding my house in the near future.
 
I have heard also that they have alot of issues....there is a couple of coonhunters in ellijay my husband knows and they come here to my husbands club......we went Billy Cochrans place down the road where Burts pumpkin farm was and I told my husband I would love to live down there....the country was so pretty...they say they have bear there and their dogs runs bears....also Tony Smith coonhunts with my son and husband and I think he lives somewhere close to coosawattee resort
 
To many restrictions in Cossattee River Resort.Dues are to high,roads are in poor conditions,can't make any improvements to your place or land without getting approved first,and worst of..........you cant have chickens.Me personally....I love my chickens to darn much for that.
