im a city girl honestly, born and raised in the arlington area, but a country girl at heart... my mom had horses when i was younger..and ive always been a animal person...

I started raising my own veggies/herbs about 3 years ago, and this year decided two hens running around the yard would just be perfect.
and honestly tired of the high egg prices.....plus i started to realize just how bad commercially produced food could be....
and after seeing a few videos of mass egg producing plants...im done....

i think i have spent well over 40 hours reading the forums and have learned a ton!
i just want to thank everyone!! this is a great forum for sure!!!!!!!

someday we will have a small place in the country...

We have 24 chickens right now in the middle of town but also hope for a piece of land someday where we can raise as many as we want.

I only want a few hundred, nothing too extreme.

Welcome. I just joined the forums. I live in Garland, but have a small farm at Lake Lavon. I have a nice chicken egg laying operation just now starting up, with 28 hens and 2 roosters. I have capacity for 100 hens, but need to ease into it as I'm a gentleman farmer.
