I got two hens and a chicken tractor, waterers, and a bag of feed a few months ago on Craiglist for $50.00. I forgot to ask how old the chickens were, and they were not laying much, and one had diarrhea, so I gave them away and bought three new ones whom I knew the age and who are healthy, Two Marons who are laying and one pullet a Rhode Island Red. I am getting two eggs a day and I am hooked. Tired of moving the tractor around my back yard so I am getting a 5x8 coop from the http://www.chickencoopstore.com. I have a lot to learn and am excited.
