(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I purchased my first chicks 4 weeks ago. They really are growing fast. When everyone said have the coop ready BEFORE you get the chickens I didn't believe they meant me! Unfortunately, we have had a rainy spring and the coop is not as far along as the chicks.

I have 2 Aruacanas, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Gold Lace Wyondotte, 1 Black Australorp, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 Speckled Sussex

I believe I came across the website when I was looking for coop designs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I'm starting beekeeping in the very near future. My first 2 hives of bees will arrive in May. I love to entertain family and friends.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a great husband that indulges my love of animals and spoils me. I have a son (21) and daughter (23). My pets include a 23 yo Arabian horse and her 18 yo son, and a 23 yo pony. I have 4 barn cats, 1 outdoor cat, one housecat and 3 dogs, an 11yo Chocolate Lab, 2 yo Chihuahua, and 1 1/2 yo Border Collie mix and now of course my chicks.
