Newbie from Missouri

Hello! I am a new chicken enthusiast and very much looking forward to talking with others that share my sickness..er..excitement for the feathery friends

After a couple of random pickings from a farm store that had terribly accurate 50/50 gender ratio despite being labeled pullets (2 black Australorps hen, 1 Welsummer hen, 2 "Americauna" roos, and 1 RIR roo) I decided I wanted the shiny toy, and got me some breeding stock/show quality BBS Marans.

At this point I have no intention of showing, but I love the idea of working to keep up with some quality standards and make it a long term goal. Very much looking forward to watching my baby bird brains grow up. And also super excited to find others that understand my most recent vice!
