Many people are trying to figure out how I have time to get anything but feeding mouths done. So here's a rundown of my day. I start out the day by getting my girls on the bus at 6:30 and letting the inside dogs out and letting my mama cat out of her cage with her kittens and then my son wakes up around 7. My fiancee is off to work at 7:30 and then the day really starts. I usually throw in some laundry and take my bigger ducklings outside if it's nice weather and feed and water both them and the smaller ducklings that are currently being housed in my bathroom until they can come off the heat lamp. Then I check the temp. and water of the incubator and set out food for the cats. I then let the dogs back in and feed all them. My son gets a bottle, a diaper change and a nap and I do some cleaning and more laundry and do a 30 min. session on the treadmill and have some lunch. The house dogs go back out and I check on all the ducklings food and water again. Son gets up, has lunch, we play and I clean house and do more laundry. After a couple hours, he has another bottle and another nap. I go outside and feed the horses, chickens, outside dogs, duck, goose, make sure everybody has water, gather eggs if there are any. By the time I finish this the girls are getting off the bus and its time to be thinking about supper. Son gets up from nap, has a bottle, girls play with the baby and I get supper ready. Fiancee comes home, we eat, homework gets done, then its baths for the kids and bedtimes. Once the kids are in bed I pick up a little, check the incubator again, make sure ducklings have food and water and if its chilly bring the bigger ducks BACK inside and let the house dogs back in. Mama cat goes back in cage with her babies and we all go to bed. WHEW! It sounds like a full day with not a minute to sit and breathe but it's really not that bad.
