Newbie from NC

I joined BYC last year...lurking a bit...dreaming of raising chickens.

Tomorrow, I am bringing the little peeps home!

Here is my introduction via the nifty template:

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?....see above; getting chicks tomorrow. My first flock.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I am hoping to get 6-8 peeps.

(3) What breeds do you have? They will be Easter Eggers.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Online research on chickens.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, knitting, cooking, online shopping...I mean research!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have an energetic toddler, 2 calico indoor cats, and 1 doting husband.

Congrats on our new flock I hope its as exciting as mine I got my first Egg today and was so excited I called every one I know lol I have a 4 Easter eggers haven't gotten an egg from them yet but soon
