After retiring from military life, we've moved our family of nine to N Maine!! We've only been here a few months, but we've already started 'spreading out' by buying 8 Black Australorp chicks. They're doing great, 2 weeks old. Getting ready to build their run and convert part of converted barn/garage into their coop.

Welcome to BYC!

Congrats on the Australorps! You are going to love this breed. They are so docile and friendly birds. Great layers too. My girls follow me around looking for goodies and a nice soft lap to sit on. Huge lap babies.

Enjoy this new adventure you are on and welcome to our flock!
