Newbie from northern Michigan

Hello- I have been wanting some hens for a few years now, but just got my husband/handyman on board. We have been busy designing our coop- with tremendous help from this site. We have changed the location and design after lots of reading here. Now I just need all this snow to go away! Thanks so much for all the help so far- I have a feeling this is just the beginning of a new obsession.

No, not a Yooper, NW lower. The way we do it in Michigan is if you look at the front your left hand I am at the top left edge of your baby finger.

Sorry cristy17- I mean that's the way the "trolls" in Michigan do it. The Yoopers have to use the other hand!
