Hi there!
I was born and raised on a Ranch in California with many fun animals (chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, goats).
Now I am married with 3 kids, and we bought a Ranch last summer. So, here I am, getting my feet wet in the Ranch life again and starting this great adventure with Chickens!

The chickens will be here on Tuesday, here is a list of what I ordered.

10 BARRED PLYMOUTH ROCK STRAIGHT RUN
5 WHITE PLYMOUTH ROCK STRAIGHT RUN
5 BUFF ORPINGTON STRAIGHT RUN
10 NEW HAMPSHIRE STRAIGHT RUN
5 RHODE ISLAND WHITE ST. RUN

I plan to have them for both meat and egg purposes.
I will keep approx 12 layers and 1 Barred Rock Rooster.

How did I do?
Any tips?
I have been reading books and forums like crazy, so I do know a lot of the basics already.
