Newbie from NZ

Hi all...have kept chickens since 2006 when I got my first chicks - one silver laced wyandotte, two gold laced wyandottes and a light sussex. One of my gold laced died in 2009 (RIP Doris) so I got 3 more gold laced and 2 hyline shavers. They're now in their third home - a rather large coop that I built myself and aptly named Fowlcatraz as it looks somewhat like a prison! My husband and I live on 5 1/2 acres of land, have 2 pedigree cats and 4 cows. I've been reading posts for ages as everyone has so much valuable knowledge and is so willing to share and decided to join so I can pass on what I've learned!
