Hello!
My name is Zoë and I am a chicken owner from Oregon. I have had chickens for a good portion of my life, so I'm not really new to them... but I figure there are always new things to learn!
I have 15 older chickens - all hens and one rooster - which are all either Rhode Island Reds or Ameraucanas. And I have 6 self-incubated pullets - all mixes, and offspring of the older group. We primarily use our chickens for eggs, but some of our incubated ones are used for meat purposes.
Other than chickens, I also raise rabbits for meat, and the rest of our animal collection includes a horse, four cats, and a very excitable Australian Shepherd. When I'm not spending time with my animals, I'm either working or busy with school.
I'm excited to be here on this forum, and to see what advice you guys might have to share with me in the future!
