Thanks for the welcomes everyone! Here are my 2 day olds. I hope I'm doing everything right. They seem happy and healthy so far.

I have 7 pullets. 2 Barred Rock, 2 Rhode Island Red, 2 Light Brown Leghorns and 1 Silver Spangled Hamburg.

Does anyone in PA know where to buy a chicken coop? The DH and I are disagreeing on how much money to spend on wood. I would prefer to get pallets and use that. He says even with pallets we would need 8ft 2x4's, windows, foamboard, roofing, etc. I am thinking at that cost maybe it would be better to find a cheap coop and modify it to close to what we want? Then he doesnt have to do too much work?

As for the girls...we have 4 pullets right now...but come Feb and Mar we might have to get some chicks!

Any thoughts?
