Hi, thank you for letting me join!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had hens for many years in the UK, mainly ex batts, but I have recently moved to Portugal and have yet to start a flock here.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I had ex batts and leghorns

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their characters, it’s like living with a bunch of old ladies, the gossiping, squabbling, love of routine and food is so lovely.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I have two cats and also love gardening.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I have used the site for several years as a source of information, it’s brilliant, so kind and well informed, I have joined as I have a sick rescue I need some advice with!

Great intro. Good move going to Portugal. It’s a great country.

Hope you get some good advice for your rescue. Make a new thread if you can’t find the answer to your problem!
