Hi everyone i am a newbie to chickens for the most part and to BYC. We have had chickens for 4 months now and the first batch is coming along great. We had one accident with the dog getting one of the first babies. She got a hold of frik and killed her.

. So we got two new ones and those are Ying and Yang. We have a coop built for them and a large turn out pin for them to run and try to fly. LOL. TODAY was very exciting. I got 8 new babies. SO i new i couldn't put them in the coop like we did when ying and yang where little cause i dont want to block off the nesting boxes. And those two developed into very good escape artists. the would climb/fly there way up to the top where the wire fencing stop which was like 7 feet tall and would jump down. Crazy babies. So i didn't want that to happen to these ones so i started at 5pm building there coop and by about 8pm i finished. I should have only taken like a hour maybe but since it was my first coop and my father build the first one and i have no wood working skills i think i did a really good job. Its not what i planned before i got them But i had to make something so yep yep. I will post some picks of the coops tomorrow so if anyone needs ideas on theirs i hope mine will help.

These are the new babies.
