Newbie from Sunny Florida

I've been trolling the site for a few months now and just got my first coop today! Live in N. Florida with two kid , a Border collie and a fenced acre and I dream of backyard chickens. And I have a very tolerant and supportive husband! Can't wait to get started.

Thanks for making me feel welcome from all ends of the country. Special hello to dawg53 in neighoring JAX. Just got three hens today. A Rhode Island Red, a New Hampshire Red and a Barred. They look comfy in their coop where I guess they have to stay for a week until we can free range.
