Hi everyone! I found this site on Facebook. I am just starting out and I am doing all I can to learn before I make a fatal mistake. I am in love with my new feathered babies! I work in a hospital mixing Chemo and IV's for patients during the day. I love coming home to my family and working in my garden and on our 13 acre farm. I look forward to sharing my flock experiences as well as reading about all of yours!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. My wife and I were both raised in the great state of Texas not too far from you (Blue Ridge for her, Greenville for me). Definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there that will keep you from making beginners' mistakes. Hi Susan, so nice to meet you. Chickens are perfect for after work when you need to de-stress, or just watch chicken TV anytime - no cable bills, no re-runs, live entertainment - what's not to like.?
