Newbie from the UK

Hello All,
Just starting out with a small mixed flock all my girls have settled well and even got some eggs already. Orpington bantam, pekin bantam, rhode rock, speckledy, bluebell, partridge, and I have a 11 week old grey silkie but still struggling to sex. I have posted on another thread for help with sexing silkie.
I have learnt so much already from reading thru the forums and look forward to learn lots more from you all. Good wishes from the UK

silkies are pretty hard to sex before 4-5 mos. old. If they have the true walnut comb sometimes you can tell earlier by the shape. Pullets tend to have slimmer combs and roos bigger and wider in proportion to their head.

I know they can be hard to sex and will jusy have to be patient and wait a few more weeks, but im just hoping she is a Matilda and not a Matty oh well either way he/she is to cute and has a great personality tht I wouldn't part with it.

A bit. My wife lived there for a year on an exchange program and we have been to the UK twice.Once in in London for a week and then 2 weeks covering the whole island by car. Never been to Birmingham but the UK is is my favorite place to visit. Cheers.
