(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we hatched our own and ordered some from Murray McMurray Hatchery back in June. This is our first time having chickens and we're very excited!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 26 right now. Started out with 28...lost one to a fox and gave one to a neighbor that lost their roo to a predator. A few will be relocated to the freezer soon too

(3) What breeds do you have?
Easter Egger, a couple of mutts, Pearl White Leghorns, Black Australorps, Turkens, a Blue Cochin, a Golden Laced Wyandotte, and an unknown red pullet
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I suppose a search engine.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Goats, Gardening, Rodeo, Ranching (helping my parents and brothers and their families and whoever else!), Canning, Baking, taking care of the kiddos, etc
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am married and my husband and I have 2 wonderful boys that keep us VERY busy! We have our goats and chickens for livestock, dogs for work and pets, and a cat who likes to terrorize the chickens and dog every chance he gets. I do Computer Aided Drafting whenever there is work for me as well as babysit neighbor kids. Hopefully next spring I'll have goat milk and cheese to sell as well. I'm also hoping to have extra chicken eggs to sell as well as hatch and sell chicks.
