Newbie Georgia Chicken Owner

hello!!

My name is Devan and I live about 30 minutes south of Atlanta with my 3 boys and husband. I am a brand new owner of 10 assorted chickens. So far it looks like I ended up with 3, possibly 4 roosters, and 7 hens. I have two bantams, one Americana, 2 Black australorps, 3 Rhode Island reds, and 2 Orpington. I have never owned chickens before but after acquiring some land I wanted to get involved ASAP. My sister has always had chickens and peacocks and definitely got me interested!! I wanted my boys to learn the responsibility of having a pet as well as taking care of an animal that produces food for us to eat. I know I will have tons of questions and look forward to meeting all of you!!
