Newbie gets 9 chicks...6 are roos...what to do??

I like @Ridgerunner 's description.
If I have 1 rooster to 5 hens very long, at least one of his favorites ends up barebacked. I keep pairs and trios but not for long periods of time.
I would not keep all of those cockerels. First of all, it will get really musical for most of the day.
Since you only want fresh eggs, it really doesn't matter which one you keep.
You'll want to select the least human aggressive bird that appears to be a good flock protector.
Are you a vegetarian/vegan?
If not, I would start choosing which ones are definitely not keepers and occasionally cull one till you are down to your favorites. They taste just like chicken. If you had gotten your original request of just a single cockerel, someone or something would have eaten all the rest of the boys by now.

Hello! We wanted some egg layers, so requested 8 hens with one Roo. I’m thinking we ended up with 6 roos.
Our flock - Dominique, 2 Silver Laced Cochin, Blue Orpington, Wellsumer, Barnevelder, Easter Egger, Olive Egger, French Black Copper Maran (but I think another Oliver Egger)
They are are about 12-13 weeks.
I’ve seen these crow

View attachment 14681922nd Olive Egger?? (should have been FBCM) has small single pea comb, feathered legs, muffs/beard, copper showing under hackles. What do you think?
View attachment 1468193 Blue Orpington - first to crow weeks ago but not since others have
View attachment 1468195 Silver Laced Cochin - has not crowed but confident he is a Roo. What do you you think?

The Dom is the master... he does the chicken dance with me, but squats and like to sing with head in box. Really confused on this one.

The Welsummer gets picked on by all. Why?

Best advice on keeping roosters? Or how to get rid of 5? Suggestions on which one to keep?

The Dom and 2 Olive Eggers are bossy. The Cochin and blue Orpington are chill.
EE is just starting to show spunk, but smaller and likes to be held.

Thanks!

As to your questions as of how to get rid of five roos or which one to keep.

If you want to get rid of all of them, post adds for them on your local Craigslist cite, but you can't dictate what happens to them after that. If they are really aggressive they will most likely get culled because most people don't want to manage immature roosters.

I personally would keep the Blue Orpington as you said he is chill and is not overly loud. Also, larger roosters tend to be more gentle.

I originally wanted a Cochin Rooster because they are mild and I love the feet. So he would be the best choice based on original ideas.
But now.... that I have grown fond of all of them, each having their own personalities (and names)... it’s hard to figure out which ones to let go. I have reasons for each one to stay.
Not wanting to create a bachelor area.
I know I can’t keep them all... just need to get my mind frame to consider possible cull. I feel like if I give them away... that will happen anyway.
Thanks!

No problem ;)
It most likely would happen, but you have some nice breeds people may be looking for and you could say to pet homes only, it may take longer to find homes for them, but I understand wanting them to have a good life. I personally will never have the heart to cull any animal.

Personally I would not keep any of the roos. Your girls will lay the same amount of eggs without a rooster, altho they will be infertile and wouldn't hatch into chicks. If you wanted chicks you would be again subject to "what to do" about male chicks. It can go on endlessly
