Newbie hatcher!! Bad eggs

Haha ur emoji. But I spent 60. And I was thinking that also after I saw the packaging and realized its probably a side hobbie for this person or extra money to them. So I will have to see. But luckily I just want it for my backyard flock. Just would suck to pay so much for a easter egger.
You could buy rarer, live, already hatched chicks with that money or even full grown chickens. Wow. :eek:I know that you are ok with the price, but please give me their address so that I may slap them and say "Stap it!"

Did you upgrade or use hens now? And how did urs work for u? On temp and stuff.
I use a Nurture Right 360 now. Mine worked decent but took a lot of working out. It didn't stay reliably stable unless wrapped in a blanket ( leaving open the vent ) and I was constantly adjusting the temp. I've only had one broody in all of my chicken keeping years so far, so I just use the incubator mostly.

Wow. That is extremely helpful. So the eggs dont need to move while hatching or is it ok to be kept still like that
They need to be "tipped" back and forth 3 times each day just like other eggs. In the last couple pics of her post she shows how she tips them.

Yeah, I feel like it was a bit of a scam unfortunately.

Ok. So it is the incubator. I am also having trouble with the humidity. Not sure if its because I live in NC or because of the incubator.

I have a small egg that looks as thought veins are showing but the air sac is fairly large. Like 1/3 of the egg. Is this ok. Or am I not going to see this chick. Because I really want it to hatch.
