Newbie - help

Panting does probably mean it's a bit too hot. Is there an area that is cooler that they can move to if they get too hot? I make sure to have a warm and cool side to my brooder, the chicks self regulate pretty well with that set up.

Yes, and I moved the light higher again. I may have to get a lower wattage bulb tho. It's kinda warm here in Seattle - warmer than it was when I was testing.
