(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I would consider myself new to raising chickens. The first time I got chickens was about 6 years ago, but they were all 1-2 year old that people were giving up, so I didn't need to do much. I didn't start raising chicks till last year. We started with 4, and this year we got 5.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now I have 3 laying hens(we had some wildlife issues last year
) and five 1 week old chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
For laying hens I have 2 Americanas and 1 Plymouth. And my chicks I have 2 Americanas, 2 Suxxes, and 1 Plymouth.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love how friendly my chickens are and how colorful all the eggs are!
