Hello everyone,
I am from a small town in Texas just north of Dallas. My wife is as 1st grade teacher and she loved hatching chickens last year that this year we did it again, but this time, we are planning on keeping them.

We have three perfectly healthy silkie chicks, fresh out of the egg sometime on April 21st.

This is where the trouble sort of begins, we had another fresh out of the egg on April 23nd. It seemed pretty hyper in the incubator. But once we got it out, it hasn't been able to walk yet nor eat/drink much on is own. We have been giving a little bit of vitamins via syringe thinking it was wry neck. Well today it feels like it went backwards it won't even try and flip itself when it goes backwards it more or less just falls asleep. It's unique one with a yellow/black feathering and it almost looks like he has an extra toe. We had one other hatch just like this in another class and now that one is okay....

Advise?

Welcome to BYC @JHarrison7899

Glad you could join us all here! Congrats on the chicks but sorry to hear you have one that’s not quite right. Unfortunately sometimes they just do not hatch healthy which can be for a whole host of reasons. As @Eggcessive has said start dipping the beak to encourage the chick. Good luck :fl

Welcome to BYC!!

Someone recommended Poly Vi Sol. Should I stop that and make the switch to Nutridrench? I only say that, as that's what I can find at my local feed store.
I've used Poly Vi Sol (without the iron) with great success on sick birds. It absorbs very quickly into the blood stream and can make huge differences in hours. Make sure to use the stuff without the iron. Nutridrench can give them diarrhea.

I started that yesterday and it had us optimistic. I have had this one separated from the three healthy ones so I am afraid that is a factor. My strugglers hatch mate died in the night. THIS AINT EASY!
Can I ask you how frequent you were using it?
