Newbie here. Anyone have Tips/Fun things for Chickens in the winter?

It‘s simply a large threaded hook screwed into the stem of a cabbage. They play tether ball with it til it’s nibbled down to the core. Broccoli works well, too.

This is a great idea to do- chickens are interested in anything new really. You can do piles of straw, hang up a mirror, perches... maybe sheltered bath area? Have fun being creative!

My flock has a large run with a solid roof with a thick layer of wood chips to dig around in and dust bathe in, lots of perches to hang out on and they will go out of grass is puking up through the snow. They have any 17 sq ft per bird in the run. I think that helps.
