MY girl decided to sit and there was only 1 egg in there. I worried something was wrong with her and then my BYC friends said seems broody to me and so I stuffed some more eggs under her on Saturday. OK so How the heck do I know if they are fertile eggs or not? I have a tophat rooster with 40 assorted hens. Can he even "do the job" these girls are bigger than him. But they all lay down for him. I just dont know which eggs might be fertile and which arent??

So how many days until I can get a look at these eggs under a bright light and what do I look for?

Any and all help is So much appreciated. I have NO ONE I know who knows anything about chickens. They call me the crazy chicken lady.
