Should I keep my 5 week old chicks in their coop while raining and below 60 outside?

There are 8 of them, and I normally put them in a small portable run during the day so they can forage and spread wings, but it's raining constant all day today here.

I meant to say..does it stay DRY in the coop.

Yes and I still have lamp in there since chilly out

Is the run is not attached to the coop...
where you could leave a door open and let them choose if they want to go out, I would keep them in the coop.


Small young chicks are probably not going to like being wet and cold.

I just hate them being cooped up all day, and I know rain doesn't hurt them
