(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens! We just got our first flock four weeks ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Seven.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpingtons, Black Copper Maran, and Splash Cochin
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their personalities! I didn't know until I really got into it but they are so full of personality.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I'm a stay at home mama to a two year old as well as having a seven year old. Not much time left for other hobbies. But I do like to read as well as sew.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I've been married to my husband for eight and a half years and we have two daughters. Like I said, I'm a stay at home mama right now but I'm also a registered nurse.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google. I find myself with questions that I feel like this community can help with!
