Newbie here

They are eating and pooping fine..and they are laying some together and some are behind the food on the other end when I go check oon them .. I took some redworms in yesterday and they had a ball with them. .It just seems hot in there..
You need a thermometer on the floor of the brooder or hanging on the side of the brooder at the chicks level.
First week the temp should be around 98 to 95°F, the temp should be lowered 5°F each week until they are feathered out or the ambient temperature is warm enough for them not to get chilled. A chick that gets chilled will die quickly. @DobieLover has already advised on how to set up your heat source, so I won't reinterate on that aspect.
If they are spread out and not huddled under the heat source, they are probably ok, if they are all huddled at the cool end of the brooder they are too hot.
