I'm a state employee, raising chickens is my hobby/addiction (you choose which). I hope to be able to retire in about 5 years and devote all my time to SERIOUS chicken-raising. Wait, make that "dedicated" because serious sounds like I don't plan to have fun....

I am owned by a spousel unit of 32 years in June.....she puts up with me...

We have just over 130 chickens at the moment.....46 short timer Cornish X......black australorps...red stars....barred rocks...partridge rocks....rhodies....jersey giants...araucana's.....very well flight conditioned pair of five week old Foghorn hens.....

Five indoor cats and three bird dogs.
