Welcome to backyard chickens, Your doing just what myself and so many others have done. I was so glad to find Backyard chickens
it really helped me dicide if I really wanted to try getting chickens. We have now had a small flock for five months, some are still
pullets that have not started laying. My husband and I are seniors and are really enjoying the chickens. We also built our chicken
coop,( it was the first thing I got my husband to do after he retired )of which I looked at all of the coops in the coop section for weeks before I decided how I wanted mine built. I'm a newbie to, and I know you'll love this site. I can hardly wait until I can share my coop pictures and other things with everyone. I love reading everyone else's You can visit py page and see our coop, I was real pleased with it But really no. better than anyone elses. Just wish it could have stayed as clean as it was when it was first finished. ha ha
