Hello everyone i'm new to the forum and I'm raising jumbo coturnix quail for the first time this year.
I have raised Chukars and bobwhites in the past.This is a great forum !!!!

Congrats on the Jumbo Coturnix Quail! I keep Bobwhites too. Quail are such fun little birds to keep. Are you keeping them for meat? The jumbo's do dress out well for the table.

Yes I am meat and eggs. They are 7 weeks and 2 days old no eggs yet and I have not heard any crowing yet. I have built 3 pens for them,one is 8'long 2'wide and 12" high. The other ones are 6'long 2'wide and 12" high.I have them hung on my fence about 4' high.
 
They will probably start laying at 8 or 9 weeks of age. So pretty soon on the eggs. Pretty soon the crowing may drive you crazy. LOL I love the sound of crowing quail but lots of members in the quail section says it drives them batty enough to eat the crowers. LOL
