Just wanted to introduce myself....we have 15 chicks around 8 weeks old now...mixed breeds. We had 21....to many issues to mention in this introduction
we are new to the whole farming thing and these crazy chickens are living in a horse stall right now until DH finishes their permanent residence
Boy it will be nice to someday get some eggs. I had been following greener pastures feed, but unfortunately lost quite some to crooked beak from nutritional deficiencies. I still have around 5-6 more that have the crooked beak thing, but are not toally disabled. I purchased some organic feed for them and they are doing a lot better now
very discouraged at their growth with the raw food stuff
anywho, trying to keep it real and keep what is left alive
