Newbie Hobby Farmer Here!

These are hatchlings from my mom's nursery and the only ones left of this flock - a fox got into her coop and stole the other 16 last night. She is so sad. They'll eventually take a rooster or 2 back, for their other layers that are only a couple weeks old, since they lost that other batch.

1) We are new to everything farming - having moved from the city to the country...12 hours away from where we were raised.
2) We have 6 chickens 2 pullets and one cockerel
3) Our chickens are Isa browns - from an egg farmer who got in over his head with too many chickens. He was selling them off in big batches of 25 or more. We bought 6 off my family for bought 30 from him. Our rooster and pullets are heritage chickens. All girls are laying everyday.
4) We love how sweet these ladies are. I love listening to them when they sleep - they all make their own noises.
5) We don't have time for hobbies ATM but I paint reborn dolls and hubby enjoys making (and drinking) wine.
6) We live in Canada, we are both Correctional officers, we have 4 goats (momma and 3 babies who refuse to wean), a hairless cat and 2 giant puppies who are maremma/great pyrenees cross.
7) I learned about this forum from my sister when one of her chickens got egg impacted and she needed to learn how to help her.
