NEWBIE.... I am so glad to have peps to share my enthusiasm!!!

I have been the proud owner of 2 wonderful roosters for several months now.... Roscoe, Barred Rock and Red, our Rhode Island Red. Recently someone gave me 6 Red Stars that are laying. My husband and I had been working very hard on getting our coop ready for some chicks ready that we had ordered. I have received 8 babies in the mail already.... 3 silver spangled hamburgs, 2 blue andalusions, 1 bantam buff silkie and 2 white leghorns. I have 14 more on order that will be here at the end of June. CAN"T WAIT... I love my girls! They have so much personality. Even my 5 day olds! Each person in the family has picked breeds they wanted to raise... This is a great experience for the kids and for my husband and I. Building the coop and checking for eggs has really brought us that much tighter! Thank you BYC for all the wonderful information!
I am thrilled to be apart of it!!!

I do agree with you asylum11, it is addicting... I never knew there were so many different WONDERFUL breeds! I am already making a list to add to the coop later! It is great!
