Newbie in a couple of ways

Hello everyone! I'm excited to be part of this community and am looking forward to hearing all of your experience and thoughts you have when it comes to raising chickens. I currently have 5 chickens who should start to lay eggs come Sept-Oct timeframe. I want to expand my flock to about 10 or so, but don't plan on doing this until next spring. I live is Wisconsin and I'm already worrying about my girls with winter being just around the corner. I had a utility shed built (8x10) and converted that into their hen house. I have an attached and covered run, 12x12. Everyone that has seen my setup has told me that the girls are living in a palace (LOL). After reading all sorts of articles, I did decide to go with sand in the house and so far I'm loving it (I really think the girls love it too). So, I'm here to learn and be a part of this awesome community.

I'm confident that I'll be able to control the ventilation in the coop as the windows do work, plus I have vents at each end toward the top of the coop.
