Newbie in Colorado

Hi

I am a new chicken owner in Colorado. I have had my 4 girls for almost a week now and they are teaching me so much I have 2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 Easter Eggers all about 11 weeks old. They are all so sweet and we are all getting used to each other. Today they begun to come closer to me and let me even pet them.

This site has been my go-to when I have had questions so I decided to make a profile

Welcome to BYC, Lakisha. Glad you decided join our flock. One of our long time members, Mountain Peeps also lives in Colorado and raises Buff Orpingtons. I love Buff Orpingtons as well. I've raised them for years (still have some in my flock), and they are hardy, friendly and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and good layers of large, brown eggs.
