I am in the center of the state near Greensboro.

Welcome to BYC!

You do sound egg-cited!! Silkies are fun birds to keep. When they do arrive, you can do some chatting, sharing pics or ask lots of questions in our Silkies thread....

While you are waiting, stop by our learning center. Lots of great articles on taking care of your new birds...

I hope your birds arrive safely. Enjoy this new adventure you are on and welcome to our flock!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with your new chicks, Silkies are such cute little birds! TwoCrows gave you some nice links to check out.

Thank you.
I have been following this website, and these threads for a year now. It took so long to get this point, with building a chicken home, and a Donkey, love them Minis, home, and fence installation.

Welcome to Byc good luck with your flock hope you have a great learning time and experience.

I do have a question, please. My Chicken Tractor is in the Donkey pasture, and we have a hot wire at the top to due large coyote population. the Donkeys have been a pasture next to a coop and run from birth and ignore them, but I am concerned about the hot wire. I do not plan free range unless I am home, and I can turn it off. Does anyone here see are problem this Newbie has missed.
